Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, producer as well as an American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. She began her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known roles were in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received praise from critics, and she also received a number of awards. In 1995 she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. She's appeared as a character on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis.
