
Stevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on May 13, 1950. He is best known as Stevie Wonder and is considered an innovator in music and an influencer for musicians from different genres, from rhythm and blues to jazz to gospel, soul to jazz. A virtual one-man group, Wonder's use for synthesizers and other electronic instruments in the 1970s transformed the norms of R&B. Wonder also helped in the growth of genres in the era of albums. His LPs were cohesive and consistent as well as conscious social statements that featured complex compositions. Wonder, who was blind at the time of his birth was signed at Motown's Tamla label when he was just 11. He was then given the title of professional Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's famed critical success was at its peak during the 1970s. The band's "classic period" that began in 1972 it was when he released Music of My Mind. Talking Book featured "Superstition" which is one of the most renowned and distinctive sounds recorded by the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. His albums Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness The First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the only person to hold the record for the most albums of the Year wins, with three. Wonder is the only artist who has won the award three times in succession with consecutive albums. Wonder's "commercial period" began in the early 1980s. He had his greatest hits and highest fame as well as increased album sales, charity participation, and high-profile collaborations.
